Our decision making tool, Mucosal Mapping (TM), documents slime cell responses, enabling a customer to forecast health
Quantidoc creates value for customers by providing objective and comparable data that links immunity with diet, environment and handling.
This enables customers to improve operations by preventing and handling diseases in a proactive way.
Our decision making tool, Mucosal Mapping (TM), documents slime cell responses, enabling a customer to forecast health.
We offer this method to fishfarmers and fish health services, as a new tool for biological forecasting and control.
The method is called Mucosal Mapping, and is currently available for 4 different tissues, based on documented protocols for e.g. salmon and trout:
We are located at Marineholmen at the center of innovation in the capitol of modern Fish-farming, Bergen. Our laboratory facilities are located in the proximity of the Institute of Biology at University of Bergen.
It is well documented that the most important barrier against any disease in any animal is the physical skin barrier.
For fish the slime is an even more important barrier (From Segner et al 2012)
It is (truly) a revolution
The value of knowing.
Or even better, the value of prediction.
Getting a forecast on future health robustness enable a fishfarmer to make more qualified choices on handling the fish-stock.
